Andrew Ritchie

Director

Andrew has over 25 years of experience in African agribusiness, finance and investment, including 15 years living and working on the continent. As Founder and Managing Director of Agri Frontier Growth Hub, he brings extensive experience across agribusiness operations, corporate finance and investment to supporting growing agribusinesses with strategy, investment readiness and access to capital.

Previously, Andrew was Group Finance Director for Africa at Finlays, part of John Swire & Sons, and CFO of Mavuno Group in Kenya. He also worked as an Investment Manager at ALTIMA Partners in London, where he focused on agriculture and the firm’s Africa investment portfolio.

Andrew holds a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Business Management from the University of London and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA).

Irene Mue

Director

Irene has close to two decades of experience in agriculture and market systems development across Africa, with deep expertise in strategy, market development, partnerships and enterprise growth. At Agri Frontier Growth Hub, she leads partnership development and provides strategic oversight to advisory engagements, supporting agribusinesses on growth strategy, market opportunities, enterprise development and commercially sustainable value chains.

Previously, Irene was Director of Strategy and Partnerships at RTI International on the USAID Kenya Crops and Dairy Market Systems project and Agriculture Manager at 60 Decibels.

She holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Nairobi and is pursuing an MSc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management at the University of Nairobi. She has also completed executive education at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School and Oxford University’s Saïd Business School.

George Kanyeki

Director

George has over 10 years of experience in agribusiness consulting and corporate finance across East and West Africa, with experience spanning primary production, processing and market access. At Agri Frontier Growth Hub, he supports agribusinesses on strategy, business planning, investment readiness and access to capital, drawing on strong financial and sector expertise to assess business models, evaluate investment opportunities and support transactions.

Previously, George was a Senior Corporate Finance Consultant at PKF Consulting, where he advised clients across multiple sectors in Kenya and the wider East African region.

George holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from The Technical University of Mombasa. He is a CPA finalist and has passed CFA Level I.

Mercy Ndunge

Regional Strategy and Financial Advisor

Mercy has over 8 years of experience in agribusiness consulting and corporate finance across East and West Africa, with experience spanning primary production, processing and market access. At Agri Frontier Growth Hub, she supports agribusinesses on business planning, growth strategy, financial modelling, investment readiness and access to capital, combining strong financial analysis with practical experience in enterprise and market systems development.

Previously, Mercy was a Corporate Finance Consultant at PKF Consulting, where she advised clients across multiple sectors in Kenya and the wider East African region.

She holds a Bachelor of Economics and Statistics from Kenyatta University, is a CPA, and has completed coursework towards an MSc in Finance at the University of Nairobi.

Fridah Gitau

Strategy and Financial Advisor

Fridah has over 7 years of experience in financial consulting and business analysis across Africa, advising agribusinesses on growth, commercialisation and investment readiness. At Agri Frontier Growth Hub, she works closely with founders and management teams to assess business models, identify growth opportunities, strengthen financial and commercial plans and prepare businesses to engage investors and raise capital.

Previously, Fridah was a Business Analyst at SME Support Centre, where she supported SMEs across financial management, investor readiness and transaction advisory.

She holds an MSc in Professional Accountancy from the University of London and a BCom in Finance from the University of Nairobi. She is an ACCA Affiliate.

Annabell Achieng

Agribusiness Financial Advisor

Annabell has over 8 years of experience in financial analysis, transaction advisory, auditing and investment support. She works across Agri Frontier Growth Hub and the Agri Frontier Growth Fund, supporting agribusinesses with investment readiness, financial modelling, governance, growth strategy and access to finance, while also contributing to investment origination, due diligence, investment analysis and portfolio monitoring.

Previously, Annabell worked as a Senior Financial Analyst and auditor at KPMG East Africa, where she gained experience across financial analysis, assurance and business advisory.

She holds an MBA from USIU-Africa, a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Nairobi, and is a CPA.
